How to flip a photo in PowerPoint? The simple
answer to the question is that you follow these steps:

1. Select the image or photo you want to flip

If you are a regular
Google Slides user, you may know that you just need to right-click the image
you want to rotate, and then choose how you want to rotate it. Unfortunately,
this elegant feature is not available in PowerPoint. But of course, you can
flip a photo in PowerPoint too, but the functionality is just a little more
hidden.

Flip a Photo in PowerPoint by Using the “Flip”
Feature

This first method of
how to flip a photo in PowerPoint, as the title implies, is that we will flip
the photo. However, there are two different variants, Flip Vertical and Flip Horizontal.
You can read how to do this below.

1. Select the image or photo you want to flip

2. Navigate to Picture Format

Flip Vertical

I do not use this
feature very often, as you simply turn the image upside down. It can be useful
if you have any shape, such as an arrow, that you want to flip over. Or if you
have taken a photo with your smartphone, which has been turned upside down
after importing it to your computer.

Flip Horizontal

Flip a photo
horizontally is something I do all the time in PowerPoint. Sometimes I think
it’s nice to have pictures with objects on one side as background, and then add
text over on the other side. See the image below, and you understand what I
mean.

For some reason, I
always think it seems best to have the text on the left, don’t ask me why. Of
course, not all photos are arranged in a way that allows the elements to be
placed to the left. However, there is no problem – use the Flip Horizontal
feature.
